smykker Optik opens store in Bonn

smykker (Danish for jewellery) forms the third business unit of LoQu Optical Group GmbH alongside Optikhaus and Aktivoptik. 'Uncomplicated and stylish without being cool' is how LoQu's Managing Director Tammo Bruns describes the new in-house production brand. smykker is aimed at the fashion-conscious consumer who would like to add a second or third pair of glasses to his or her eyewear collection during the course of the year, says Bruns, who was formerly the founder and long-standing managing director of Eyes+More. 

After Wiesbaden, the Bonn branch will be only its second Germany. ‘Remigiusstrasse continues to be one of the top locations in Bonn with its high frequency of visitors and renowned tenant mix’, explains André Michel of Lührmann Düsseldorf. In the immediate vicinity are, among others, Christ, New Yorker, Superdry, Søstrene Grene. smykker is deliberately concentrating on flourishing small and medium-sized towns in the first place.
